talking about the costume study...

Talkin about Hanbok, reminded me of the character I've been workin on for a while.
What I had in mind was, from the traditional hanbok what is practically altered with buckles and stuff.
By the way, her name is Lil, the main character of the story I've been writing, still working on...
Interesting thing is I also started with an anti-heroin, a skinny 14 years old albino-asian girl with gift of riding Carbots like no others. But as I work on the story, she ended up more and more into generalized lolita.

Anyway, Asian costume is good start point, so unexplored, as long as not Japanese kimono which is overwelmed in anime and mangas.

Costume studies

Some costume studies. Just scribbles but you can see where this is going. Peasant girl, not overly decorative. Was interested in the high riding Korean Hanbok dress but again don't want to get too extreme, very conservative. Actually the Japanese have a high riding pleated skirt called a hakama worn over the kimono that is still worn today for school graduation ceremonies. Circled in red is where I think I will go next. 2 main female leads, both orphans living and working at the teashop. Inseperable life long friends. Ages around 16, didn't want to make them too young and didn't want them any older either. They are sort of anti-heros, trying to get away from the 18 year old big tits look, just kids.

ambiance

Haven't updated in awhile. Re-worked this thing too many times. I'll post previous ideas some other time but for now this is the latest. Based on feedback from Vince I'ved added a few details and worked on the contrast and lighting. The second image is an expansion based on an urban typology that I'm ruminating about. As you can see, very rough right now.

Ok, kick it suckaz
