Heres a unfinished piece.It has nothing to do with our project. But I posted it because of Syd's encouragement. I will post some more by sun(topic related). I just gotta scan it in. (its all roughs.. and progress)
Oh hey, I didn't notice the comments link, kewlios, lol. Very nice Vince, good to see your stuff. She can be Jacqueline instead of Jack. You asked about brushes? I don't use Photoshop, I use StudioTools, it's what we develop here at Alias. It's just a comfort thing based on years of habit. I don't really use airbrushes, I'm of the school that thinks it's a cheat to use em and they do tend to give a plastic appearance. I use solid and semi-opaque brushes. I suk at this color thing so I tend to use color correction tools alot and lots of blending with the semi-opaque eraser. I use the smear brush only sparingly unless it's for something like clouds. I do use 3d templates since StudioTools is first and foremost a modelling application. It's a cheat I live with as I don't want to be bothered with perspective problems when I work. I figure the tools are available, why not use them to one's advantage. Sorry for the long post but I would very much like to hear about how others work and their opinions on technique and workflow.
